GREAT LAKES REGION ASTRONOMICAL LEAGUE
 

GLR Awards and Award Rotation. The awards started in 2019. In 2019 and 2020 two awards per year were given. No awards were given in 2021 and 2022 due to COVID.

​Starting in 2023 the Great Lakes Region will give one award per year using the schedule below:

 

1. Hans Baldauf Award 2028

     For individual observational skill, astrophotography,

    and contributions to science (variable star estimates, 

    comet discovery, observing)

   

 

2. Great Lakes Region Award  2026

    For individual service (outreach, club leadership) or for society service.

 

 

3. Great Lakes Region Media Award  2027

     For society media management
